This month was our teen camp and it was very powerful. The leader, who saw me needing someone to take charge of it in the past, has done a phenomenal job in the last few years. During this year’s setup days, one of the men brought his granddaughter along to help. She’s 19 years old and just graduated. Sadly, her father has drifted away from the church and she had never been in church her entire life. She was visiting with her granddad and that’s how she ended up in church, helping with setup. I sensed the Lord telling me to sit and talk with her. The Lord opened up the gospel to her and I knew it was getting through. So I asked, “Do you understand? When do you want to do this?” She responded, “How about tomorrow with Gran and Pap? But I’m afraid to do it, if Dad finds out.” Her Granddad said to me afterward that he wasn’t sure she was ready. A few nights later we were talking and I asked her again. She said, “I want to do it right now, with Pap and you.” That day she trusted Christ as her Savior.
