First Baptist Church of Metuchen (FBCM) is a midsized Conservative Baptist church seeking its next youth pastor. Metuchen is in central New Jersey in Middlesex County, a suburban area with an ethnically diverse community. Our church is family oriented, having originally started as an outgrowth of a Sunday School over a hundred years ago. Our congregation reflects the area, being both multigenerational and ethnically diverse.
We are looking for a person who will engage the next generation from birth to high school. We want

The Associate Pastor of Youth and Children’s Ministries would be responsible for:
- Development and implementation of a ministry plan focused on all youth ministries
- Leading the Youth Group (6th-12th grade)
- Engaging the families of children, working with parents to develop their children spiritually
- Supervise all youth teaching ministries
- Overseeing VBS and other children’s ministry outreaches in the community
Qualifications for the Associate Pastor would include:
- Reflects qualities in 1 Timothy 3
- Strong teaching skills
- Love for children of all ages, especially teens
- 2-4 years’ experience leading youth and family ministries in a midsized church
- Agrees with the vision and mission and core values of FBCM (website)

Compensation/Benefits:
- Salary commensurate with experience
